Nothing I Can't Organize

Have I mentioned how much I love helping people unpack?

This was probably the coolest closet I've gotten to arrange:

Maura, you were so great! My closet is so neat and organized and it's one of the first things I show people who come into the house HAHA! I'm glad I was able to make us snacks as we trekked along, yummy popcorn and tea and hot cocoa! And don't forget the Thanksgiving pie! Nom nom nom!!!

oh my goodness how could I miss the boy! Well, he was a FORCE!!! Everybody, picture this... a bedroom just FILLED and piled with boxes, no system, just all willy-nilly. Mattresses propped up against the walls. NOT ONLY did Oscar stack all the boxes neatly, but he assembled the two twin size beds so the kids could put their linens on them and have a place to sleep! It was a Christmas Miracle!!! xoxo

What I Charge

*Child Care: Varies based on ages and number of children, distance, frequency, etc.

*Cleaning: $20 an hour (realtors see below) maybe plus some gas if house is more than 40 minute drive

*Decluttering (alone): same as cleaning

*House parties: $25 per hour (tips welcome)

*Driving: Depends on distance/time/passengers, etc. Basic local driving is $10 to $15 an hour plus gas and tolls

*Pet Care: Depends on number and kind of animal, amount of days, tasks required and distance

*Decluttering (with you): $20 an hour plus round trip gas and flowing coffee

*House Sitting: Varies by number of days/tasks involved/distance

In case you think $20 an hour is too much:

*I buy all my supplies and maintain my vacuum

*$3.825 an hour goes to the IRS

*Also, I get no sick pay, and if a client decides to cancel my cleaning-- I just don't get paid, so I’m wise to tuck away money each week

How I Work

*Elf Hours: with the exception of Real Estate jobs, I do not allow people around me when I work. It weirds me out. I like to work what I call 'Elf Hours': When you leave for work,your house is messy-- when you come home, it's clean-- just like the Elves and the Shoemaker!

*Unless you have a lot of children and animals, you don't need weekly cleaning. Bi-weekly is usually good enough. Many only have monthly. And occasional cleaning is great-- when you just can't stand the mess anymore or are expecting company, call on me!

REAL ESTATE CLEANING:

The "Elf Hours" can be suspended for Move In cleanings (when I'm cleaning up the mess from the previous owners' moving out). If their move out is close to your move in, overlap is sometimes unavoidable.
Some real estate cleaning rates may go above $20 per hour (such as evictions when the apartment/house has been trashed, etc), please talk to me about costs.

What I Do

My vision statement is this: I will do anything that is not immoral or illegal (except launder clothing).

My main business is cleaning houses/churches/small businesses and vacation pet care-- but I'll do anything someone does not have the time, inclination, skill, stomach, energy or patience to do for themselves.

I'll wait for the cable guy, go to the RMV for you, weed your garden, drive your child to music lessons/sports practice, drive you to work (car in shop? lose your license?), help you pack/move, wash/vacuum your car, help you clean out your cluttered junk rooms, run your errands, house sit, pick up prescriptions for Granny when you can't-- if you can think it up, I will do it!

I'm the obsessive type who cleans out the toaster oven, under the microwave and wipes the top of the fridge-- Heck, I'll clean IN the fridge! I'll clean things you didn't even realize had gotten dirty!

I bring my own vacuum unless you have a really nice upright. I also bring all of my own supplies, but extra paper towels are always appreciated.
